AOY series

What's an AOY series?

Angler of the Year — points across multiple tournaments in the same season.

AOY (Angler of the Year) is a season-long points contest. Anglers fish multiple tournaments in the same series and accumulate points based on their finish at each event. Highest total at the end of the season wins the AOY title.

How it works on LimitLock Pro:

When you create a tournament, set the AOY Series ID (e.g. "mwba-2026"). Use the same ID on every tournament in the series so they all roll up to the same standings.

Points calculation (default):

  • 1st place: 150 points
  • 2nd place: 149 points
  • 3rd place: 148 points
  • ... and so on.

Configurable per series.

Throw-outs: most clubs let anglers drop their worst N events (e.g. "best 9 of 11"). Configure throw-outs in the AOY settings — the standings page applies them automatically.

Blank floor: anglers who fish but don't catch anything still earn a small number of points (default 50). Rewards showing up.

Public standings page: every series has a public URL at limitlock.app/series/{seriesId} — share with the club to keep everyone tracking the season.
